Economic Study Reveals 6.75:1 job ration

and billions in economic impact if Asarco re-opens

 

Asarco retained the Institute for Policy and Economic Development at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) to conduct the economic impact study.  The results show that if Asarco was permitted to resume copper smelting activities in El Paso it would have a substantial affect on the economies of El Paso, Amarillo, and the state of Texas.
