BISMUTH SELENIDE (Bi2Se3)

Bismuth selenide is a silver-colored crystalline material produced by combining bismuth and selenium. It is used to produce EnviroBrass®, a lead-free brass used in the manufacture of water meters, faucets and other potable water carrying devices. Asarco bismuth selenide contains an excess of bismuth to insure that the selenium is present as an inert selenide.
